How Metrixview uses AI
Last updated 19 May 2026
Metrixview uses AI as a co-worker for governance teams — not as a decision-maker, not as a clinical tool, and not as a way to collect or train on your data. This page summarises how we think about AI. Customers see the full AI System Card with technical detail (model provider, retention windows, isolation architecture, regulatory mapping) inside the platform.
What AI does in Metrixview
Three places, each scoped to your governance framework data only:
- Data Chat — answers plain-English questions about your indicators, trends, and framework status.
- Onboarding Wizard — helps you describe your organisation in conversational text and generates a starting governance framework you can refine.
- AI Observations — produces a written summary of board-level reports from your live dashboard data, reviewed and signed off by a human before distribution.
All three operate inside your organisation's tenant boundary. AI never sees data from other customers and never sees individual patient or participant records.
What AI does not do
Metrixview AI does not:
- Make automated decisions that affect any individual's rights, access to services, employment, or care.
- Process individual clinical records, individual participant records, or any record relating to a named natural person beyond what your team has chosen to enter into the platform.
- Trigger workflows, alerts, payments, or data changes without a human action.
- Interface with clinical systems, electronic health records, or care management systems.
- Train on your data. Our model provider operates under a paid commercial agreement that prohibits training on customer inputs.
Privacy Act APP1
The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) requires entities to disclose their use of AI in personal information handling (APP1, as amended). Metrixview meets this through:
- This public summary page.
- The Customer Privacy Policy presented to all customers at signup.
- An in-app first-use disclosure banner when a user opens AI Data Chat for the first time.
Not a Medical Device
Metrixview AI is not a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) under TGA classification. The platform operates at the governance layer — population-level indicator aggregates for organisational quality management — and not at the point of clinical care. It does not provide individual clinical decision support, does not process individual patient records, and does not recommend treatment.
Human oversight
Every AI output in Metrixview is intended for human review. Board reports are signed off before distribution. Onboarding-generated frameworks are reviewed and refined by your team before they go live. Data chat answers are interpreted in context by the user.
Detailed AI System Card

- Model provider and commercial terms (no training on inputs).
- Conversation log retention.
